BOTOX COSMETIC®

BOTOX is a neurotoxin that works by relaxing tiny facial muscles that contract when you frown, smile, or squint, which creates what are called “dynamic wrinkles.” These include crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines. BOTOX injections temporarily reduce the appearance of these wrinkles.

Dermal Fillers

Injectable fillers restore age-related volume loss in areas such as the cheeks and can smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Most fillers are formulated with hyaluronic acid (a sugar that’s naturally found in the body). It combines with water in the skin to enhance hydration and reduce wrinkles. Fillers can also make lips plumper and more contoured.

BELKYRA®

This injectable treatment reduces the fat that causes the appearance of a double chin. Health Canada approved the procedure, which is performed at our office in a series of treatment sessions.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

PRP therapy is a natural aesthetic treatment that can minimize early signs of aging, such as wrinkles and loss of volume, using the growth factors contained in platelets. Dr. Loo also uses PRP to naturally stimulate hair growth.

Chemical Peels, Facials, & Skincare

Dr. Loo can recommend the most appropriate peel for the skin condition being treated. DermEffects offers customized facials that can unclog pores and leave your skin feeling refreshed and smooth. We also offer medical-grade skincare products by SkinCeuticals® and more.

Laser Skin Treatments

Skin renewal using a fractional laser reduces wrinkles around the eyes and mouth without the downtime associated with more aggressive laser skin resurfacing treatments. It can also improve the appearance of scars caused by acne. Dr. Loo recommends the best laser treatment to address specific conditions, such as uneven texture, large pores, or generalised redness.

AviClear™

AviClear is a laser treatment that effectively treats mild, moderate, and severe acne with little downtime. Safe for all skin types, AviClear shrinks the sebaceous glands to reduce acne-causing sebum and provide long-lasting results.

Brown Spot Treatment

We have different options for the treatment of brown spots and hyperpigmentation. Laser procedures can even out red or mottled complexions and fade brown age spots and sun spots. Carbon peels, a popular non-ablative skin rejuvenation procedure, can minimize brown spots and freckles.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a popular treatment for both women and men at DermEffects. We use 2 different laser systems for these procedures. The ProWave™ is approved by the FDA for permanent hair reduction and can quickly treat larger areas, such as legs and the back. We also offer the Nd: YAG 1064 nm, which safely removes unwanted hair even on patients with with darker skin.

Laser Tattoo Removal

You’re not alone if you’ve come to regret getting a tattoo. Studies estimate about 1 out every 4 people with a tattoo have second thoughts about the decision. Fortunately, laser tattoo removal is an effective way to remove inks of all colours.

Laser Vein Therapy

We use the CoolGlide laser to treat spider veins and darker reticular veins that are located deeper in the skin. We can treat dark, light, or tanned skin safely using CoolGlide vein therapy.

Body Sculpting With truSculpt®

Radiofrequency Microneedling

We use the Lutronic® INFINI™ microneedling device, which combines radiofrequency technology with microneedling to improve skin texture and tone. INFINI microneedling addresses concerns about sagging skin and wrinkles, along with skin texture, on all types of skin.
